Eco Program Agreement

Thank you for being part of our Eco Program!
Our reusable glass jar program helps reduce packaging waste and is a big part of what makes GC unique. By joining, you agree to follow the simple care and return guidelines below so that we can keep the program safe, sanitary, and compliant with NC Health Department regulations and the rules set by Piedmont Food and Processing Center. The expenses of this program include the labor required to clean, inspect and properly fill the jars according to regulations, the storage fees for all the necessary equipment, and the cost of replenishing all the supplies. We have created a fee system so that we can simply break even and continue to provide this earth friendly option without excessive cost to our small business.

• I understand that signing up for the Eco Program initially costs $25 and includes an insulated GC bag, as well as jars and lids that will be returned.
• I agree to the renewal fee of $25 on every 10th order from Goodness Cooks as long as I am an Eco Member.
• If you haven’t ordered in over a month, please schedule a free pick-up at your house via our webstore. Simply add to cart under Add-Ons on our menu, place your order, and leave the bag/jars out for drivers.
• To leave the Eco Program and no longer pay the renewal fees, please choose “Regulur Customer Order” at checkout. Please return your jars and lids with your next order. The bag is yours to keep.
• Rinse and wash all glass jars and plastic lids after use, using hot soapy water (either by hand or in dishwasher).
• Keep jars and lids together and return them in clean condition (NO food residue., please).
• Do not use jars for any other food storage or repackaging before returning.
• Do not return any jars that are chipped, cracked, or broken. Please discard safely at home.
• Return jars weekly with your insulated delivery bag, placing them upright and secured to prevent breakage.
• Do not use the glass jars for freezing your food. You can add our plastic containers to your order under Add-ons in our webstore as needed.
• For Pick-up orders: Bring insulated bag and jars with you when picking up your order at Piedmont Food Processing Center in Hillsborough.
• For Delivery orders: Leave insulated bags and jars outside for delivery drivers to collect when dropping off your food items. Drivers will leave a new bag with your order each time. Please only use your insulated bag for Goodness Cooks jars.
